Asian rutile titanium dioxide price falls and the market is unstable

The price of rutile titanium dioxide in Asia fell, and the valuation was adjusted to 2700-3100 dollars/ton CFR Asia.


The quotation of rutile titanium dioxide in India is 165000 rupees/ton EXW, which is stable compared with the previous period. Long term customers and large orders can receive discounts of 7000 to 15000 rupees per ton. Import prices have remained stable for several consecutive weeks, with high-end prices slightly declining compared to the previous period.


The price in Southeast Asia is $2900 per ton CFR India. A titanium dioxide produced in America was quoted by India at 3100 US dollars/ton CFR India. The price of titanium dioxide in other regions is more competitive around 2700 US dollars/ton CFR India.


The price of titanium dioxide produced by sulfuric acid process in China in India can reach 2400-2450 US dollars/ton CFR India. The price is not included in the stock price.


The local price in Japan is still between 340000-350000 yen/ton DEL, and the supply and demand situation has improved.


On the Korean side, demand remains sluggish and appears to be overwhelmed by the macroeconomic downturn. Nevertheless, it has been reported that some customers in the area have seen price increases because after a year of price decline, they believe that the price has bottomed out, with prices ranging from $2800 to $3100 per ton CFR Korea.


In Southeast Asia, some sellers' prices remain stable. The quotation for European goods is between 2800-2900 US dollars per ton CFR Southeast Asia. The quotation for goods in Southeast Asia is around $3000 per ton CFR Southeast Asia. The prices in other regions are mostly between 2700-2900 US dollars per ton CFR Southeast Asia.


The buyer's intended price is largely controlled at $2700-2800 per ton CFR Southeast Asia, with some sellers suppressing sales below $2700 per ton CFR Southeast Asia.


In Q2, some titanium dioxide market participants in coatings and paints will increase demand. However, others do not have much hope for the market situation.
