The overall equipment technology level of the industry has been rapidly improved. Large air swept mill replaces Raymond machine to crush ilmenite, vacuum crystallization tank replaces freezing crystallization tank for freezing, disk filter replaces centrifuge for ferrous separation, large acidolysis reactor with a volume of more than 100m3, large hydrolysis reactor, large rotary kiln, drying and utilization spray and flash equipment, etc. The use of a large number of new equipment and imported equipment has greatly improved the technical level of domestic titanium dioxide production equipment.

——The product quality has been greatly improved. In recent years, through independent development, introduction, digestion, absorption and re innovation and other means, enterprises in the titanium dioxide industry in China have greatly improved and developed the structure, quality and use of products produced in the whole industry. Special and special anatase titanium dioxide products have been continuously developed and mass produced. rutile titanium dioxide multi brand and multi-functional products have emerged, filling some gaps in the domestic titanium dioxide industry, Especially for the products produced by some large backbone production enterprises, the gap in quality and quantity with the world's advanced level is greatly narrowing, and some high-end products can completely replace imported products.

——The quantity and level of exports have improved. For a long time, the import volume of titanium dioxide in China was larger than the export volume, and until June 2010, the export volume was basically equal to the import volume. Due to the improvement of product quality, the number of the whole industry's exports to the international market is also increasing. In 2011, the import and export pattern of titanium dioxide in China changed substantially. On the basis of maintaining a stable import volume, the export volume rose all the way. The total export volume of titanium dioxide in the whole year reached 398000 tons, 174.2% of the import volume that year, making China a net exporter of titanium dioxide for the first time in history.
